Men's Ministry
The purpose of our Men’s Ministry is to support the discipleship efforts of Central Church by calling men of all ages and life situations. We desire to see each man able and willing to share the gospel with their oikos so others will know and love Jesus and become grounded in their faith.
Are you looking to get connected with other men to grow in your faith and to journey shoulder to shoulder as we obey the call to be godly men? Forged is a community of godly men who serve and gather on a weekly and monthly basis. We are living out the oikos principle to help men share the love of Jesus with their relational world.
Get Involved
Men’s Monthly Breakfasts
We gather once a month on a Saturday morning at Central to connect and study the Word. We will be using the book Man in the Mirror to guide our discussions this year. The mornings will have a guest speaker sharing briefly about a topic of challenge to men from the book, then we will have a time of discussion at individual tables. Table leaders lead conversations to encourage and equip attendees in their faith journey.

Encounter Jesus
Encounter Jesus—His life and His Words—in the pages of the Gospel of John. He boldly proclaims Himself as the only source of truth, meaning, peace, and everlasting life with God.
We are excited to invite you to encounter Jesus and examine Jesus’s claims for your own life in John’s Gospel, along with other men.
We will meet weekly from Sept to the first week of December.
Living Life in the Spirit
As Christians, we’ve been given the ability to overcome anxiety, worry, depression, guilt, poor self-worth, and other emotional issues and live lives filled with love, joy, peace, patience, self-control, and more through the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit who lives within us (Galatians 5:16).
In addition, living out our new nature in Christ will make us better husbands, fathers, employees, and bolder witnesses for Christ. Mike Nichols leads this Weekly Men’s Huddle. We will meet weekly from September to the first week of December.
The Core
From BetterMan Ministries , this 11-week series of group studies consists of weekly video teachings and group discussions that provide a clear definition of biblical masculinity and practical ways to make your marriage, parenting, work-life, relationship with God — everything — better. We will meet weekly from Sept to the first week of December.
Followers
Followers is a 6-month journey consisting of weekly small group huddles and daily scripture reading. We will be reading and discussing scripture and reading two books. This huddle aims to help participants discern their calling, develop habits that lead to greater spiritual growth, and create deeper relational connections with other men in your huddle. Followers is for men who desire to grow closer to God, be more intentional in their faith, and connect with others on the same journey. Approximate Cost of books $25.
Developing Leaders
Developing Leaders is an intense, focused experience to develop disciples who inspire and guide others along the same path—just as Jesus did. During the 10-month program, participants will read through most of the Bible and strengthen their spiritual habits. They will dive even deeper into their calling exploration to discern where their leadership can make the greatest kingdom impact. The cost is $75.
Journey
Journey – We will deeply explore the questions: Who am I? Who is God? How has God called me to live? How has God been present in my life? What does it mean for Scripture to transform my life? And more. This study is designed to help us have a deeper biblical foundation for our lives (primarily using the book of Luke) and to reflect on how we are growing in Christlikeness alongside a deeper level of accountability and community.
This study is for men who desire deeper relationships, deeper commitment, and deeper investment in one another and in pursuing a life shaped by Jesus and Jesus’ way in the world. Check out The Journey Curriculum & The Journey Video. Cost will be $150
Thursday Morning Men’s Community
We are the early morning crew who gather at the church in the Hearth Room. After a brief time of connecting we have about 30 minutes of teaching and then a time of discussion and applying lessons learned. This group is led by Craig Skattum and Kevin Dick, and meets on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30am Central Church in the Hearth Room.
