CARE & RECOVERY

Caring Ministries

The mission of the Caring Ministries team is to walk with people through difficult times. Our objectives are to provide a compassionate presence, emotional support, spiritual encouragement through God’s Word, and prayer.

If you’re interested in serving with the Caring Ministries team, here are just a few of the ways you can get involved:

    CHERISH CARE HOMEBOUND MINISTRY

Join one of our homebound visitation team members on a mission of mercy and love to minister to our homebound.

    HOSPITAL MINISTRY

Become a team member and visit people in the hospital.

    FUNERAL MINISTRY

Join our funeral ministry team members as they serve families a meal following a funeral service.

    COMMUNION MINISTRY

Join our communion ministry team as they prepare for, serve, and clean up following communion.

If you are interested in serving in our homebound, hospital, or funeral ministries, please contact either Pastor Randy at [email protected] or via phone at (605) 275-1674.

If you’d like to serve with our communion ministry team, please contact our First Impressions Director, Stephanie Holsing, at [email protected].

    Care Groups

    DivorceCare

DivorceCare is for anyone who is going through a divorce or separation, or marriages/couples facing troubles in their relationship, with the goal of helping them find help, hope, and healing.

Our next session of DivorceCare and DivorceCare 4 Kids starts Sunday, Jan. 15 and classes meet weekly from 3:00 to 5:00pm in Room #167 of Central’s Family Life Center.

If you have questions about DivorceCare, contact Central’s Pastor of Recovery Ministries, Roger Anderson, at (605) 940-7426. The registration for our next DivorceCare group launch will be available here soon.

    DivorceCare 4 Kids

Central offers DivorceCare 4 Kids for kids age 6-12. DC4K offers a safe, caring, fun environment where children can explore healthy life skills to maneuver through the rough places of family fracturing and divorce.

DivorceCare 4 Kids meets during the same time as our adult DivorceCare classes in room #168 of Central’s Family Life Center. DC4K begins meeting Sunday, Jan. 15 from 3:00 to 5:00pm.

For the full details on registering for DivorceCare or DivorceCare 4 Kids, contact Pastor Roger Anderson at [email protected] or (605) 940-7426.

    Recovery Ministries

    Are you…
    working through addiction issues?
wanting freedom from your hurts, hang-ups, and habits?
wondering how Christ’s hope relates to you?

If you are, then Recovery Ministries can help.

    Discovering Your Chaos

The best antidote for chaos—and the deception it brings into our lives—is a healing truth. The 12 Steps of Recovery provide a wonderful road map to help you walk that path. This program can be applied to almost any addiction or problem we may be facing.

The 12 Steps of Recovery aren’t just something to be memorized— they are a course of action that we have to follow carefully and do. And through Discovery Ministries, we can help you do it.

      Conquer Series for Men

The Conquer Series provides men a safe place for hope and healing to process their life story: learning how family of origin, traumatic experiences, and wounding messages impact relationships. More than 100 men from Central have gone through this 10-week series, which focuses on educating and equipping men through small group resources leading the way in the battle for sexual integrity in the church. Pure Desire groups help you discover how to break free of denial and face the truth before God and others.

      Meeting info:
       Wednesdays at 6:00am (March 15-May 17) | Central’s Family Life Center (FLC), Room 167

(Limit of 15 men. Books and materials cost is $50.)

      Betrayal and Beyond for Women

If you’ve been hurt or betrayed by a spouse’s addiction, the Betrayal and Beyond series is designed to give hope and healing to women who are feeling hopeless and alone. The group and workbook reveal the truth and nature of sexual addiction, and how women are wounded by an addict’s behaviors. For women who have suffered betrayal, their healing comes from understanding the role of trauma, establishing healthy boundaries, exploring the depth of forgiveness, and learning to live in restoration.

Info for the next session of Betrayal and Beyond will be available soon.

If you have questions about Betrayal and Beyond, email Pastor Roger Anderson at [email protected], or call the church office at (605) 336-3378.
