Below The Surface

A lost son returning home. A farmer sowing seeds. A traveler helping a person in need. Jesus told stories that, at first glance, seemed pretty straightforward and simple: ordinary people performing familiar tasks. But below the surface of each story are truths of incredible importance. These stories are called parables: tales that use familiar examples to lead people’s minds toward spiritual concepts. They are earthly stories with heavenly meanings.

As we seek to influence our relational world, let’s approach these stories with fresh eyes, exploring below the surface to discover the profound wisdom hat Jesus imparts. Only then will we encounter His truth, experience His grace, and embrace His mission.
