In this week’s message, Pastor Jeff kicks off our new series: The Effective Prayers of Imperfect People by looking at the life of Elijah through James 5:16–18. While Elijah is often remembered as a spiritual giant, Scripture reminds us that he was a person just like us - with doubts, fears, struggles, and moments of deep discouragement. And yet, God heard and answered his prayers. Through Elijah’s story, we’re reminded that prayer isn’t reserved for the perfect - it’s for anyone willing to come to God with honesty and faith. As we begin this prayer journey together as a church, may you be encouraged that your prayers, even in weakness, can be powerful and effective when they are rooted in trust in the living God.
