What ministry (or ministries) are you most involved with at Central?
Frontline Team
How did God show up in your life in the last 12 months?
His patience with my short comings has been incredible. He gives me energy (no caffeine needed), provided community, and has given many perfectly timed sermons. He gives comfort in heart ache, equips me for ministry, and answered many prayers of mine for my friends. The list goes on. And of course, reminding me of all He has done.
How do you live differently knowing God is alive & active in your life?
There is certainly a peace and confidence that comes from that truth. It brings joy when I sit and think about it, like what a wonderful God that would spend so much time with me! But ultimately, It means that I can go to God first when I have questions, doubts or struggles.
How did you share the love of Jesus this year with someone who doesn't know Christ?
God provided a rooming situation last summer, and it was with a group revolving around some high school friends who are genuinely cool and welcoming guys. I had been praying for them for a while then suddenly this nightly prayer thing started, and it was just like Jeff's morning prayer ministry. Praise God it fell right on to my lap, and was better than I could have imagined! We would read scripture and pray primarily for our struggling friend nearly every day for months. God is still working in these guy’s lives.
Anything else you'd like to share about your story or testimony?
There is no greater joy than when God uses you to impact others lives. I think it’s important to remember that when seeds are planted it takes time for them to grow. So we need God to equip us with patient endurance to keep praying and investing in others lives. I love this verse from Galatians 6: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don't give up.”
