How did God show up in your life in the last 12 months?

God has shown up personally in my life by giving me a baby girl! She is our miracle baby that I didn't think we would have. Both of my children have been answers to prayer but I really had almost given up hope when God gave us our little Opal. Also, our family was blessed by the Lord through my mother in law. Because of her we have a new home of our own and are living debt free. Thank you Jesus. Truly this year has been a year of answered prayers and blessings!

How do you live differently knowing God is alive & active in your life?

Because of Jesus we have hope and peace even in hard times. I know that even amidst difficulties and heartache that I serve a good God who is well acquainted with my heart and he cares. If I didn't have Jesus, I don't know where I'd be. Because of him I have experienced healing and freedom from so much. I am humbled when I stop and think of all that God has given to me and entrusted me with. As a mother especially. I am so undeserving of all the blessings God has given me, yet I'm truly grateful for them. My absolute favorite job is being mommy. And I'm also most humbled by being one as well, knowing i definitely don't do everything right. Jesus is my helper in all things. Even when i fall short, He is always near. I couldn't and wouldn't choose to do this life without him.

How did you share the love of Jesus this year with someone who doesn't know Christ?

I have several friends that have faced and are facing hard seasons this year. And in their anxiety and worry I've offered to pray for them, lent baby dopplers, made baby blankets and bought flowers, ice-cream, sent worship songs to and dropped in personally to offer love, hugs and support. I haven't seen them turn their hearts to Jesus yet, or had them give me feedback on what my prayers have meant to them, but I know that my prayers do not fall on deaf ears. God is a God who listens and acts on my behalf. I know He's a God of breakthrough and promise. My loved ones and friends will know Jesus. Until then I pray Ephesians 1:16-19 over them. I love that song "in Jesus name" and declare that over those I love and care for.

Anything else you'd like to share about your story or testimony?

I love Central. Its a big church and can be hard to connect to people sometimes, but through volunteering and through working at the preschool I've met some of the most amazing children and women! I have found friendship and support and Kid Central is such a special place for kids. I'm so thankful to have such a great place and people to have my kids learn about Jesus in!
