What ministry (or ministries) are you most involved with at Central?

Sunday Services

How did God show up in your life in the last 12 months?

In the last 12 months God has just been so consistent in reminding me to trust his plans and know that he is in control, having a son with CHD and a tracheostomy has changed my life so much over the past few years with a lot of scary times and the "unknowns", but through it all he has shown his mercy in so many ways with helping my son thrive and become stronger each and every day.

How do you live differently knowing God is alive & active in your life?

Knowing God is my Savior allows me to have that peace that all things will be ok, I have had many trialing times over the past few years with a medically complex child, it has really taught me to grow my roots deeper and know he is in control. An example would be some of Liam's therapists that have been placed into his life have helped him become stronger and really thrive in his physical abilities in the past year, we went from not being able to sit on our own to now running around chasing his two sisters a year later, this is the perfect example of how God is teaching me to continue to believe in his plans.

How did you share the love of Jesus this year with someone who doesn't know Christ?

I have learned to just really express the importance of having faith through prayer in your troubling times. I had many raw and serious conversations with God over the last few years and yes some were full of anger but I now see how special he made my son and would never change a single thing with his brilliance in creation of our Liam Ray!

Anything else you'd like to share about your story or testimony?

As a parent of a medically complex child I found that talking with others in your shoes is powerful and helpful, I encourage other parents to reach out in their faith and I have always vowed to take the time and help walk along side others in their challenging times, i would love to talk with anyone if they are traveling down a similar road!
