Are you ready to Live Sent so that you can impact your relational world? Live Sent is a training course that will help you be able to comfortably and confidently bring up spiritual topics and your own spiritual story in conversation with your non-spiritual friends.

Live Sent will meet five weeks in a row starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 5:30 to 7:30pm in our Oakwood Chapel. Our time together will start with a free meal. After the meal we’ll participate in a variety of Bible studies, trainings, and group activities.

Visit centralsf.org/LSsignup to register for Live Sent.

Live Sent is for anyone who has ever felt like they aren’t equipped to have a conversation about their faith. We look forward to seeing you on Sept. 2!

Official dates:

  • Sept. 2
  • Sept. 9
  • Sept. 16
  • Sept. 23
  • Sept. 30

Although COVID put a pause on this ministry last year, the Backpack Challenge is back! All of the backpacks have been picked up, so please remember that they must be returned no later than August 8. We are planning to pack 550 backpacks this year, so let’s see the impact God can make on our community through Central!

Have you always wanted to go overseas on a mission trip, but finances, timeline, or fear of global travel have held you back? Check out what God is doing through Central to see what He might have in store for YOU! Central will be taking a team to Ethiopia, Africa, to work in the capital city, Addis Ababa, October 8th-15th of 2021. We will be doing service work and evangelism with street kids. Visit centralsf.org/ethiopiatrip to get more info about the trip! If you have any questions, Kendra Michael is happy to help at [email protected]

Have you felt the Spirit challenging you to love your neighbor better? We’re hosting four evenings of conversation around culture, ethnicity, and race—and some of the barriers that get in the way of being in healthy relationships with people who are different from us.

Classes began July 21, but you’re welcome to join us for any of our meetings. They’re held in the Hearth Room starting at 6:30pm on July 28, Aug. 4, and Aug. 11. Space is limited.

Do you like to run, walk, bike, or pogo? Every Saturday (weather allowing) Central attendees and their oikos are invited to come to Spencer Park to fellowship and exercise at 7:30am. We’ll exercise for one hour and then eat donuts at the pavilion in the park. All are welcome! If you have questions, contact our Pastor of Outreach, Nathan Pruett, at [email protected]

We’ve launched a Bible reading plan to go with our current sermon series, The Life. To participate, just visit centralsf.org/readingplan to pull it up online. Our hope is that you and your family will check this reading plan every week and grow together spiritually.

As Covid continues to be a challenge for people in our community, we want to make sure that every person at Central is safe and being cared for well. If you or a family member are sick or having to quarantine, please let us know what we can do to help. If you need any assistance at all please fill out a brief form at centralsf.org/covidhelp or contact our Outreach Pastor, Nathan Pruett, at [email protected]

Central is excited to be launching new resources for reaching your oikos effectively. Visit centralsf.org/oikos to get the info and resources. The site offers tips and suggestions for helping you declare the Gospel—both scripturally and personally—defend the Gospel, and dialogue the Gospel. If you have more questions about reaching your oikos, contact our Pastor of Outreach, Nathan Pruett at [email protected].
