Behold
Celebrating A Biblical Christmas Demands Worship
Sermon Description
In this week’s message, Pastor Jeff continues our Behold Christmas series by reminding us that celebrating a biblical Christmas demands worship. As we walk through the responses of those who encountered Jesus at His birth, we see how meeting Christ always calls for a decision. Worship Him or hold on to control. Throughout the message, we are reminded that Jesus is worthy of worship because He is our Deliverer, our Creator, the One who sustains our lives, and the giver of eternal life.
Series Overview
The Scriptures summon the world to come and behold a wondrous, glorious display of God’s immeasurable love for the world. - R. Albert Mohler
Christmas exists because God came to save sinners through the birth of His Son, Jesus. Yet our culture often misses this reality, overshadowing the season with materialism, commercialization, and secular traditions.
But Scripture calls us to behold—to look with awe and wonder at God who took on flesh. In this series, we will return to the true meaning of Christmas by asking what the Biblical narrative demands of us: faith, worship, and expectation. If we’re going to share the love of Christ with our relational world, we must behold the right thing: Jesus Himself—the glory of God made visible.
