Set Apart
Sermon Description
In this week's message, Pastor Jeff walks us through 1 Corinthians 1:17-25 and why the Gospel would be considered foolish to those who don't know Jesus. Throughout the message, you'll hear four points on how the Gospel was interpreted during biblical times, along with some practical examples of how the Gospel is still interpreted today. Through this message, we hope that you'll realize the Gospel's "foolishness" is precisely what makes it so meaningful. Through the Gospel, we are given freedom to be different in a world full of sin.
Series Overview
Corinth was a place marked by diversity, wealth, moral compromise, and intense cultural pressure—and into this context, Paul calls the believers to live differently.
"Set Apart" is a call to holiness and distinctiveness, both for the Corinthians and for us today. This sermon series on 1 Corinthians explores what it means to be a community and individuals who are set apart by God, not defined by the culture around us, but by the gospel we’ve received from Jesus Christ.
