Set Apart
Sermon Description
In this week's message, Pastor Dusty walks us through 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 where Paul is talking to the Church of Corinth about their struggle with identity. As you read the first two verses, you'll see Paul describing the church's shortcomings, but in the third verse, Paul reminds the church that it's been washed, sanctified, and justified through Jesus. Throughout this message, you'll hear how these verses can apply to our lives and what "being washed by Jesus" truly means for our daily thoughts and actions. Through this message, you would feel confident in who Jesus has made you to be and that you would be able to live as an example of the grace we've been offered.
Series Overview
Corinth was a place marked by diversity, wealth, moral compromise, and intense cultural pressure—and into this context, Paul calls the believers to live differently.
"Set Apart" is a call to holiness and distinctiveness, both for the Corinthians and for us today. This sermon series on 1 Corinthians explores what it means to be a community and individuals who are set apart by God, not defined by the culture around us, but by the gospel we’ve received from Jesus Christ.
